Hi all I took delivery of my new sickle on sat morn just gone
mmmmmmm its been too long between drinks for me , I have ridden bikes all my life some 35 years now and this is by far the best ride I have ever had (hmmm note to self , dont let the missus hear you say that)
Its a K7 Suzuki GSX1400 , no crappy plastic to hide the motor , no nancy boy fairing to hide behind when it gets windy just a real bike.
spent the weekend riding everywhere and enjoying the shitttt out of it:smilesandbanana:
too all who worry too much about the dangers , dont just enjoy the freedom
I have some of the best friends you could ever want and even though weve lost a few on the way here , none of us would change a thing.
heres a few shots for you

you say don't worry about the dangers and then say you've lost a few friends! seems slightly condratictory.

I think you will find that he is saying that it is their way of dealing with the loss of close friends and loved ones. And remembering the good times that they had as im sure that anyone who has lost someone close to them will be sad.
But ask yourself this. Would you like your friends to dwell on your passing or would you want them to remember the good times that you all shared, and live their lives to the fulliest with your memory deep in their heart everytime they get together in the form of a celebration.
This is the best quote:
"I don't try to explain to people why I ride a Motorcycle. For those who understand no explanation is needed! For those who don't understand, no explanation is possible..."

that last statement is very true m8 , when youve been riding your whole life (im 52) your are bound to lose a few good-uns but none of those left would want it any other way ,all but one of those who died did so doing what they loved , we can all only wish for the same

prob a yoshi or akropovic cant decide which yet , but first the Yoshi tune up box for suzuki , it will allow you to adjust the std ecu , then PCIII usb then air cleaner then pipe Id say as money allows

I grabbed it from someones signature on another forum as it is so true.

But i have had friends commit suicide and that is hard to take and deal with.

The yosh box is fairly crude and quite difficult to get half decent fuelling out of. It works by changing steps in the fuelling quite coarsely.
The PCIIIUSB has a larger range of functionality. It is able to be tuned so that positions along the rev range have certain AF ratios depending on the rpm. This also uses an oxygen sensor during dyno tune to assist in closing the tuning loop.
The problem with both products is that they are open loop control. For both to work even half decently you need dyno time to set up a map, and even then its only subject to relative humidity, that dyno on that day etc etc so its not a REAL world tune. IF you have a datalogging device on your bike so that as you ride on the road/track you can see where you need to adjust your fuelling and can then connect back up to the PCIII then thats not too bad but there are a few other options coming out in the next 12 months that should work a lot better for both street and track use.
As for a suggestion on pipe etc, slip ons only give you noise. If you want power you need a system. Full akra 4 into 1 would be my choice but it is pricey, especially seeing as though you will need the PCIII, dyno time and an air filter as well. On the subject of air filters, i recommend a DNA race if you are going for that kind of filter. BMC race filters compromise filtering for air flow, and K&N for bikes do not allow the right kind of flow for your bike.
Some bar end mirrors and LED indicators would look awesome too for a 'fighter.

i have found with both of my bikes (Suzuki's) that using the STOCK filter works better than aftermarket ones. Having said that i have not tried the DNA ones mentioned but have tried the others and the dyno showed better results with the stock one. If you are going to get it dynoed, i would recommend taking it to Neville Lush in Victor Harbour.
Good luck with it buddy

all true mate , but as we have a workshop containing the latest Dynojet 210i and the Tuning Link software which allows for tuning every 250RPM so we can at least give it a close map , but I will be logging as I ride so I can refine the map for my conditions.
I agree about the Akra too seems the best pipe (trade accounts help here as well) , not a fan of bar end mirrors as they limit the between car clearance , but some led indicators would look good , will look into the DNA filters.
thanks for the heads up.

www.superbikeperformance.com.au Jim is the best engine builder / tuner in the state check the site for details , I do all the ECU fuel injected bikes there , but we also do carbies for all makes bar Harley's.

OK had the old girl on the dyno at SBP tonight and with 1065K's on the clock it made 98HP ATRW and 88 FT LB's of torque ATRW with 91oct in the tank , first time its ever hit the limiter 9800RPM in fact in 6th at 9800RPM the needle on the speedo was pointing straight down LOL speedo numbers end at 260 so maye 300 or so ....lol.
still a good run in pass or 2.
