Hey guys, now that the ute is finally going to start making some good numbers and get into the double figures with boost pressure, i just want to know what are the best boost controllers for dollar basis and what functions etc do they have..

The ute is still running the GenTT kit and will be tuned on 12-14psi when its all run-in..

Eboost2 is a touch outta my league price wise although i could wait and try save, but what else is there that is good enough..

Do they work in a sense that say your running 12psi, it will hold full-boost as soon as it makes it to redline? Or the boost pressure wont drop off as quick as it would without one??

Sorry guys just trying to get use to the whole turbo side of things still as well as the Boost Controllers..

Thanks for your time fella's..

Brett

yeah avc-r is pretty average in my eyes. doesnt hold boost as well as it should. then again i dont really know cos the built in boost gauge doesnt work. from my experience with turbo cars blitz sbc-id3 works great, dont know if it works with ls1's though. apparently eboost2 are the bees knees though

don't know about pricing but if you want to save money keep your eyes open on the forum for the apexi ones. they pop up every now and then for around $400 from memory.

HKS EVC 6 EBC is a great little unit and can be bought for decent money.

The AVC-R Black Edition(sold in the US only but there isa few Australian suppliers with some) can be found for good pricing as well and offers some advancements over the Australian market version. Plus it looks HAWT in black :D

And yeah i wouldn't go the AVCR one, Steve has one in his car brett and it annoys the crap out of me all the time, makes this clicking sound. dunno if thats right or not.

Pricing is not the greatest but it atleast is a good comparison of the different products out there and has some good pictures :)

You need to isolate the soleniod so it doesnt make the noise when its "doing its thang".

i'm looking at buying an e-boost from the states. with the dollar being so good at the moment, there $469.99 usd. I'm sure shipping won't be much for a boost controller.

Hey Ant, where bouts did you get yours from and what functions does it have?

I just read thru the Eboost2 Manual and GEE WHIZ, it has way to many functions that i would never use..

All im chasing is something that will hold boost from full-boost to almost redline??
Any ideas people?
