Yes it would fit, but unless you have modified it, there would be no reason to fit a standard VX one to a VY, as VY use the better Monaro CAI.

VT-VX come standard from the factory with 2 holes. VY onwards
only have the one hole.

Many many people say on here that the Monaro CAI is one of the best "cheap" mods you can do to a VT or VX.
Think you'll find your answer there...
Keep your VY box and fit an HSV intake pipe (or similar brand) to the throttle body.
If you want to pursue the "two hole mod", use those search words, then allocate a spare week of your life to read about them! There must be 100 threads on it by now.
