Moderators,

I am wondering whether the topic of emailing details of cruises/meets to validated regulars has come up before. I am asking as I have only very limited access to this forum these days and sometimes by the time I find out that a meet was on I have missed it.

Is it possible to set up some sort of mailing list for cruises etc for the validated regulars in each state so that people like myself with very limited access to the forum can still get details of upcoming meets. There are already a few forums that do this already like CCC etc, so I will wait and see what you decide.

Thanks,
Brett.

Perhaps they could be placed in the current calendar, or a new separate one for these types of events......only my 2 cents worth:idea:

mail out *could* happen via the forum.. im sure..

and the calendar idea wont work for Brett as he has limited access to the forum(ie ls1.com.au).

Good idea brett.
Only problem I see it that the admins have to do the emailling, and they are usually not the ones to organise a cruise.

I guess the organiser could PM an admin to ask for a mail out..

Have to leave this one for the boss to decide.

Im sure it could be easy to set up a group email for validated users but it would be a bit annoying getting emails for cruises in another state. It would also be annoying maintianing seperate lists for each state as well.

Maintenance and Time is the biggest problem.

It would be a little easier if Everyone filled out their Location fields properly with atleast state.
