I wonder how they get all that decal off the vehicle without leaving a trace. In WA they done away with V8's after a fatal crash killed a police officer. They still use XR6T and SV6's though.

The decal is like a big sticker. Most of the cars get a buff before they are sold so any residue from the decal and anything else that was on the paint would go..

yer but if ya look at the bonnets you can still see where the stickers used to be. I've seen them at the auctions down in Welshpool here in Perth when i was looking for my car.

A few days ago I saw a Black VE SS High Visibility vehicle. Looked awesome but didn't take any snaps of it. I assume they are the next crop they've produced?

This was in South East Melbourne.

The ACT coppers have some very schmick looking cars around at the moment - there's some XR Falcons with really cool looking livery, but not sure if there are any VE SS cop cars about the place yet.

Qld police have changed their livery and it looks kinda strange. They also have a few Aurions getting around up here.

There's a Red VE SS with the full police setup (lights, decals etc) that i've seen around twice. Plus a few Omegas.

They still have the VZs though. Undercover Red VZ SS parks outside the city Post Office near the bus exit. Waiting for illegal parkers or cars not stopping at the crossing I assume.

He was such a nice bloke that even his own work crew revolted aginst him.

Not really it was mainly used as a runaround, court etc. Spent more time parked in the yard and it was not certified for pursuits, it was a bugger to get in and out of :)

I would've been happy just looking at it in the yard !

I spose it would have needed a trailer to put the crims in !!

Just for curiousity sakes, what does a vehicle have to have / or go through to be pursuit certified ?

hmm, not 100% sure. They are tested down at the Police Driver training complex and put thru their paces. All XR's and SS's go thru it everytime they upgrade the specs of the car, like VZ to VE etc
