I have had intermittent problems with dash lights coming on and off. trac/abs/oil etc etc light come on a/c doesn't work, power steering goes heavy, loss of power/econ mode little x logo comes up on the trip computer and climate control screen..... the usual stuff that points to a dead abs module.

i have been putting up with the fault as it comes and goes on a dialy basis. however with summer coming up i really dont want to be without a/c but being a tight ass i dont have $800 or so to get it fixed.

i came across this ebay shop that does swap over abs modules, they have sold heaps of them and have great feedback, i was just after any opinions/suggestions or if anyone knows how to swap one over or how hard it is and so on.

any advise would be greatly appreciated.

So how did it go?
Reason i ask is because my ABS unit is also intermitently bringing up warning lights. Unplugged ABS connector, no unexpected warning lights.
So i was thinking of trying the Ebay reco but would like to know how you guys went with it before i do.

I'm such a slacker. Still havnt replaced mine. Not sure quite how easy it is to replace or what tools I might need. Can't seem to find any instructions on how to replace it either.

Recieved my reconditioned ABS unit today from Ebay and fitted it, works perfectly. I'm very happy :) Best $175 I have ever spent!

Do these come with traction control? Mine has gone in the clubby (hence traction control), and the part numbers on ebay dont match the part numbers i got on the quote from holden.....

Yes they come with trac. My ride is a WH Statesman so it has evey possible feature packed into that module.

I had seen the part # i needed ages ago on ebay but when i finaly decided i should get around to fixing it he didnt seem to list the model number i needed only ones for fords or v6 commodores etc. So I contacted him on ebay and he listed one the next day.

By the way the part number is located on the bottom of your module and yes you need to remove it from your car to read it.

I never bothered taking mine to holdens or anywhere for a diagnosis... figured it had to be the module with the amount of people on here with the same issue.
