A guy in Brisbane has done this comparison and data chart, it has lots of cars from all over the world on it and their 1/4 mile times.
It must have taken him ages to make.
It looks as though it would be quite accurate to me.
I have found it quite an interesting read.

Would be good to have that in .xls so you can sort by time

At the end of the list, there's a sorting by fastest time.
Here's a list I came across a couple of years back (from North America), giving ¼ mile times and speeds, and a source where all the times have come from. The cars here are sorted by time.

It really puts into perspective the performance of our cars especially when modded. For the guys running mid to high 11's having a car that is within a few tenths of the fastest production cars of all time is really an achievment.
cheers

That list has been around for quite awhile now and has some accurate times but also a lot of inaccurate times. Doesn't even mention whats trans. U13 Nissan Bluebird SSS is quoted at 16.4 sec. A mate did 15.8 in a stock old tired 250 000km with a heavy sub box in the back.
