Hi guys,

Can you guy give me any info on when you will be releasing brake packages for the VE?
Also if you have any specs of rough pricing would be greatly appreciated.

Spoke to one of the performance shops in perth that sells your brakes, etc and they said to me they should be out around christmas time this year...not sure how true it is

Cheers,

Dean

Sorry for the tardy response Excessv ... missed the first post.

Our original plan was to do 4 different packages for the VE ... mild to wild.
We have since reviewed, and are now going to release only 2 packages initially:
* "Performance": 4 piston front + 4 piston rear to suit all 18" & bigger OE rims. Probably available Feb. The "Performance" package will be very economical ... even better value than previous packages.

* "Big": 6 piston front + 4 piston rear to suit all 19" & bigger OE. First production sets will be shipped in Dec. Those that have to ask the price of the "Big" package probably need to do some more research on why exceptionally good brakes are required ... and then drive a car in anger with "adequate" brakes which fade/fail ... then come back and choose which options they want. :jester: (Priced similar to comparable pre-VE packages).

:)

:)Thankyou very much for the reply Ken.
much appreciated.

look forward to seeing detailed specs, prices, etc when they are released.
should give VE owners some more options out there and i definately need some better brakes as the power increases and as i spend more time on the track negotiating the twisties.

the VE standard brakes on the SS/SSV, etc are definately a dissapointment...especially after coming from a VX R8 that had cross drilled premium factory brakes

please keep us all posted on when things are finalised :D

Cheers,

Dean

EDIT: sorry to be a pain Ken but will these brakes fit behind the standard SSV 19" rims or will there need to a rim change like HSV offset rims to fit the brakes???

Yep ... They will fit behind the SSV 19". :)
(That's partly why they have taken a little longer to develop ... making them fit behind all the known OE rims is a challenge).

Woohoo, I can keep my wheels and have better stoppers, awesome (now all I have to try to do is convince the boss.......) Still trying for Teins too and stroker.
So true for the OE brakes Deano, very uninspiring.

Great work Harrop.

Well done Harrop. This is exactly what I was looking for. Brake upgrades are expensive to start with but when you have to get new rims as well it just gets ridiculous.
Can't wait to see the details, please keep us posted.

I too am interested... any update? I don't know what Harrop use to charge for previous models so if any one can enlighten me as to the ball park price range would be helpful also.

Their website still does not show any VE packages... so, they are either too busy with pre-VE work OR have not finished the design/production/testing for VE packages.

Any further updates?!?!?! I've been trying to follow through some of the replys on other threads and from what i can gather the kits should be available very soon, if not already available. Can anyone confirm? I thought pricing was released but, not too sure.

Its definately a sought after bit of gear, so would be good for everyone to know.

This week we released the details and pricing to many of our dealers, and have already taken more orders than we anticipated. :)
The first full production batch of kits are being manufactured now, with delivery planned for pre-Christmas.

Details can be found here ... (http://gallery.harrop.com.au/main.php?g2_itemId=799)

Enjoy ... :xmas:
