Spotted this week in Sydney, Padstow were a pair of ADR legal Euro III complied Gen-TT VE Intercooled Twin Turbo warriors going together. Nothing like beating down the path of the VE rolling defects and making it real :)

Gareth was in Sydney on hand to orchestrate the installations and check every component over before the engineering process began, and what a good job he did liasing with Sams staff and making the whole partnership reach fruition in the form of two installed kits in 5 days :)

Heres the end result 2 x 340rwkw plus Gen-TT VE Intercooled Twin Turbo packages on the streets of Sydney from 5 days drop off to pick up, all fully legal and at a solid affordable drive away rate. Hats off to Sam. There is some Justice in the world after all! :diddy:

The boys at Sam's are affectionatley referring to the 2 black HSV's as the twins with twins

I will post some pics up tomorrow of the installations. The kits are very well designed and perform exceptionally well. There is a lot of attention to detail that has gone unnoticed with these kits.

Sam is absolutley wrapped that they leave his workshop with full a ADR nod of approval.

Big thumbs up to Gareth too, fitted in well with Sam and the boys.
He needs a bigger entertaining budget next time he visit's though Martin :p

And I spoke with Justice today, the bugger is in Thialand having a well deserved break. He can't wait to get back to check out the twins too.

Nice work guys, is it me or does Sam's workshop look bigger in the photos then it does in real life?

Or has he "expanded" again?

Great news guys !
there's nothing better than to be walking into a performance shop knowing that they offer the customer a wide range of different horsepower packages to suit everyone's needs . Hope you guys do well out of the TT kits

Hi Chris,

Yes, Sam has added to his business another workshop and staff dedicated to fitting the TT kits.

With the current workload it was the only way to ensure the high level of service required by both Sam and the Tunaman.

Hope your keping well mate :)

For the novices like me, hopefully you will learn something.

^^ The oil feed and return system is a neat set up. If you look closely there is a oneway check valve in line with the gearbox ribs.

http://www.haroc.1337thing.com/ls1/Animal/Dec%202007/Electric%20motor%20for%20oil.jpg

^^ An electric motor runs for 5 minutes after the engine has stopped. It scavenges the residual oil in the turbo's ...

http://www.haroc.1337thing.com/ls1/Animal/Dec%202007/Oil%20return%20from%20pump.jpg

^^ And returns it into the top of the rocker covers to drain back to the sump.
The one way valve prevents the oil from returning to the turbos after having it all scavanged.

*** Hopefully Tuna will add some technical brilliance to why and what the benefits are for this soon ***

Gareth did explain it to me, I think I got distracted when the boys walked in with Macca's at that point though :) I was starving !

http://www.haroc.1337thing.com/ls1/Animal/Dec%202007/Without%20front%20bar.jpg

^^ Front bar off on the dyno, this gives us a good look at the plumbing and the twin air intake filters.
There is no cutting of bars and such with this install, only a trim to the inner plastic guards.

^^ Installation completed, ready for the initial run.

just out of curiosity, why do they mount the turbos at the bottom of the engine bay rather than the top?

I'm not sure if that's quite right mate :)

I'd love to see some pics from underneath with the exhaust fitted if someone has any

on the topic of the turbos being mounted in "stealth" is there any problem with driving in wet weather etc and having water spray up on them alot???

I dont have any special covers on it and I have been using my GF's car over christmas and it hasnt been an issue. There has been some heavy rain (seems like everytime I wash it) but I dont see it as an issue.

As far as up top and down low mounted turbos, the VT to VZ are currently up high in the engine bay, with the VE kit being low mounted. I love the look of the stealth VE kit for the daily driver.

For those that want to test drive, please remember you must own a VE (to eliminate test pilots just wanting a joyride) or at least be known to me before I chuck you the keys. Test drives are done at legal speeds on both 60kmph roads as well as the freeway so you can get an idea of how the car performs. Please note there is no taking your mates with you for obvious reasons. . I will be at Sams this afternoon for 3 more test drives. If you are interested you must give Sams a call on 02 9772 3105. It will go to an answering service. Make sure you leave a short message, name and a phone number and someone will call back.
