yeah you will notice a big difference i think, unless of course it has been tuned before then a re tune will make it run better with the additional mods.

you'll notice quite a savage difference mate... specially if your chosen tuner is on the ball!!!
it will be a far better car for the tune

in a simple answer.... Hell yeah

the difference it made to my car was amazing, more power, better throttle response and an improvement in economy.

who is doing your tune?

By the way Mario at Autotechnique at rowville is doing the tune as my brother in law with the black vy calais done his there and he made it spot on. I am just trying to think how hard i want him to make the gears shift.

Increase Line pressure about 10-12% and you will be happy with shifts like I am.:xmas:

I have similar mods (although 2.5" twin system & 80mm throttle body) & had a $500 mafless tune done by Oztrack. I could almost have believed the engine & auto had been replaced the difference was so great.
Before the tune, the auto seemed to be the weak link in the drivetrain in that the shifts were soft & sludgy, the shift points inappropriate, to the extent that I wondered about the possibility of putting a later model auto in (the car is a VYII Calais).
Now the car feels like it springs off the mark, lots more power down low where I wanted it, and the improvement to the auto was amazing. More power & better fuel economy. Trouble was, after the tune the brakes then felt inadequate with the extra power & I ended up spending another $3K on an AP racing brake kit from ebay ($3K includes the fitting).

He tuned my car too, good choice. Enjoy.

Hi VXSS346 if you dont mind me asking why did you go maffless is it better than a maff tune and is there much difference over a maff tune. In other words is it worth going maffless without having a cam etc as a maff tune is $990 and a maffless tune is $1,150.

Divided answers on this issue, depends who you talk to, in any case I went mafless mainly because I have an OTR, but its my preference too. (but what would I know???)

:)my 2c.
