VE ute hard lids being released now/stripes

My hard lid turned up today so for all those waiting it's on the way.

However no silver stripes available for the ute. Not being made. (black only)

I was going to fit silver stripes to my Phantom SSV but I am now considering black stripes as the silver have to be custom made and from what I have seen on the sedans the silver looks white on a sunny day.

There was a thread on fitting black stripes to black car. Being fitted Fri so will post pics.

has anyone else had there hard cover turn up? my brothers has had his on order for about 10 weeks and realy wants it before xmas!

i ordered my car towards the start of october and hav been told ill get it towards the end of jan, but yesterday the dealer told me i wont get my hardlid untill april :bawl:

I was told next year also.. I Think the dealers are covering some butt so they don't keep getting hassled by customers. Didn't stop me :)

Got my dealer to keep calling and checking on due date. Called at least once a week since the ute turned up. Also rang Holden customer service a couple of times myself.

The Phantom buyers are the lucky ones!!! they seem to get there utes first AND the Hard Lids!!!

uteme i found the holden customer service very informative, they seem to care and make an effort, alot more than i can say about the my dealer!

keep and eye on your stripes though mine are bubbling and a bit near the my sunroof has already split and torn off.. from a hand wash only!

its going back to get sorted during its 3000k service.

im enquiring about getting them sprayed on at the moment though ;)

Ive had my stripes on for 12 months now and not had any problems.

picked up my hardlid today. was told by dealer that i would not see one before the end of the year. rang holden customer servise and give them a mouth full. had one within a week. hard lids are very flimsy this time around and locking them is quite hard due to it.

the VE hard lid is now available from Bluey's Ute World stores in VIC, NSW & SA... at $1895 inc GST & fitting... it is the only one available in the after market... unlike the OEM one (takes about 10 to 15 weeks for delivery)... this is delivered in 10 working days... my brother had his fitted today in Phantom Black... looks good... in the traditional flat profile...

genuine ones are available at Holden dealers up in QLD. No 10-15 weeks wait, walk in and pick one up.

Flat Top Products are now active in Melbourne and have 2 new VE lids , Wonky and Steve bought one each and they are having servo elevators fitted to open and close and do tailgate as well how kewl is that!!!!
great finish ?? they will do a show finish for a few dollars more but you have to ask?

ive seen the "bobtail" VE lid , it has quick release lids with hinges are hidden and has an overhang. Looks Stylish?
The guy at Flat Top was getting Carbon Fibre print inlays done but was waiting on a us software package to print the inlays. the pattern he showed me looked real??
