After another M.I.P (modification in progress) and some quiet time to reflect on where the skin off my knuckles has gone (11 chunks in total courtesy of not having the right tool for the job ) it got me thinking, as the title suggests, does your pride and joy spend more time in pieces than on the road cruising?
Thought it might be an interesting poll :D
I'm almost certain mine does!
Also, with all the aftermarket parts available, be they performance oriented or purely aesthetic, it begs the question, will we ever be entirely happy with our rides? :smilesandbanana:

I hate seeing mine in the shed in pieces.
Thats why I sold them to someone who has the time to complete a project :goodjob:

Because they do
I'd completely forgotten about this thread - but i'm proud to say my ute has spent the vast majority of this past year as a 90% complete car or better!

My car has spent 99.99% of its life on the road. Only ever off for a couple of hours at a time eg. full exhaust inc extractors, springs and shocks etc.

Yea the beast stays hidden most of the tym. Gets out for club runs ( when not in pieces ) or for a leg stretch once and a while. Would lyk to drive it more but every tym I get behind the wheel I get a little crazy and whoops there goes a ticket or licence, mynd you the less you drive it the more you appreciate the power also and thou its an '03 with only 25k on the clock it still has that new car smell............beautiful!!!:goodjob::burnout::sm ilesandbanana::woot::bounce::bounce::bounce::cheer s:

Mine spent 2 months of the road in 2007 and 4 months off the road in 2008, Have no more money to spend on it now so hopefully it will stay driveable for a while.

Sorry should have been clearer 20 metres, I have owned it for about 17 years and its been in bits for 16 of them, some stuff was put on my race car (also in the corner of the shed, dusted off started every couple of months then put back away ).

the stato is always on the road. its been out of action for about 4 hours total, this was while doin the exhaust, lowering, fitting rims, and whitewalls.
iv had tonner for almost 7 years, im always playing with it, getting everything spot on, then changin it all again.
it was all completed and workin fine, the rear drums started leakin, so yesteday, rear end was out, new disk brakes being fitted up, new rear springs. all for the fun of it.
better than spending the money on pi5s and drugs! no amount of drugs or pi5s could make me feel as good as driving the tonner!
