Has anyone out there heard of this car. Aparently there were only ever 50 made. If anyone can help me out with any information at all, I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't recall such a model name from HSV, as I think they finished with the 5000, 3800, etc in VN/VP days.
I do, however, recall that HDT had similar types of names (5000i, etc) for their enhanced cars.
Cheers,

I've never heard of one. To my knowledge they had finished with "dealer specials" and oddball stuff like that by the end of VP.
Do you know someone with one?
If so, get the VIN and load it into HSV's authentication link. It will end the maybe/maybe not's once and for all.

Well, this is exactly what I've been thinking. I have never heard of a VT 5000i, I can't find anything on the net about it. Unless of course its a HDT version.
I'll let you know once I see the car.

there was a VP 5000i clubsportYes. VP Clubsport 5000i. 50 made, all with the black motor from the VP GTS, which is actually a VN Group A donk without the twin throttle setup. Strong motor.

there is no such thing as a Vt 5000i
there was a VP senator 5000i in the quartz duco
a Clubsport VP 5000i also. that had the build number on the back.
there was also HSV 5th anniversary models that were 5000i too.
