Its time to have the heads done on my ls1. Currently running the 232/242 come cam. Im guessing higgins is probably the place to go? Wondering what im looking at to have the heads removed for cnc porting and refitted? I dont mind paying the extra for a good job.

I was just on the Higgins website also. By the looks of it they do change over packages. I'll be doing my heads next year and i'll be calling them as i've heard nothing but good things from their camp.

Flowcraft is another one ... supposed to do a good job but I have no personal experience with them ...
Good luck!

They do good old school stuff, but I still haven't seen or heard of a fast LSX series engine coming from there yet.

A friend had his stock LS1 heads ported/polished there (I think CNC) also raised the compression. Overall the result was good ... VX SS, Cam, 3.9s, 4200 Stall, OTR, Mafless tune - 11.5@119. After heads 11.4@120 in the heat. The car is much more responsive ... in the cool weather (like the 11.5) with full slicks it should result in a 11.2 pass.

120MPH I would not class as fast for a H&C car - far from it.
Cam only's run that nowadays.

As I said ... he ran 119 with cam only with very few bolt-ons (stock T/B, stock intake plenum) - 270rwkw all on ET Streets. They are simply ported and polished stock heads so you cannot expect too much.
