View Full Version : The amazing VN-P-S-X-Y-Z Commdore

Just had to tell someone about this.... I haven't seen such a strange concoction on a holden since spotting a Zafira in Sydney a couple of years ago that had a complete VX HSV style bodykit on it (front, side and rear!). I saw a VN commodore in traffic yesterday with a bodykit consisting of parts from just about every HSV bodykit released in the last 15 years. The front spoiler was a strange mix of VP, VS and VT type features, I really can't explain it. The sideskirts were VX HSV, the rear bar VY/VZ HSV and the front guards had VZ HSV guard vents fitted.... :spew:

To top it all off the wheels were aftermarket 20" chromies that I reckon would have set the owner back more than the rest of the car put together!

So what's the record for the number of bodykit styles the aftermarket manufactures can squeeze into one kit - has anyone seen more than what I've described above?

Cheers
Dan

Plenty of this crap going around western sydney, what makes it better is that they are all 6 bangers, blowing all kinds of coloured smoke

Yeh, seen a couple of VN's like that, the thing that sticks out in my mind is the pre-VN model commo's with every other commo part on them, I saw a VK with a VC interior, VL boot, VB Headlights, VL front & rear bars, and I'm pretty sure the motor was out of a VH! I used to work with its owner and to this day I don't think I've ever seen such a POS that was not only unsightly, but highly unroadworthy.

So yeh, they're around.

haha i remember in SC a long time ago seeing a red VB commodore with what was described as a VS GTS-R type body kit...looked bloody horrendous, im glad i never saw something like this in the flesh else id be scarred for life...it did have a mildly worked 202 to make it perform like a genuine gts-r....so the owner said!

See if i can find a pic of it somewhere...

I'm sure they're coming up with a way to put an E-series HSV front bumper on a VN at the moment.

yep and one of the commodore mags that cam before street commies did a project car based on that kit, painted the gtsr yellow with the black tri spokes as well - had a v6 conversion from memory. That one wasnt too bad but still not fantastic!!
