Hey guys,
I know there's a few of you from Kalgoorlie on here.
Anyone have any idea how I go about shipping 4 tyres from there to here in Melbourne?
Any particular trucking company?
Thanks
Howard

If you don't have a freight account it will cost you a small fortune.
See if any of your friends have freight accounts or work for a company with a freight account.
Also, if they don't have a negotiated freight deal with WA, they could also pay a fortune, but not as much as someone without an account. Make sure they get a quote first, otherwise you could end up with a $400 freight bill.
Cheers
Greg

Hamptons are your best bet from Kal to Perth then Bunkers from there would be your cheapest option :)

Ring Sadliers in Perth and they will quote you and let you you know what to do next.

I once bought 4 wheels and tyres from Perth and had them sent to Newcastle for a Hundred Bucks. I was about six years ago and the guy just went to the local Pack N Send. I know there wont be a pack N Send in Kalgoorlie but it suprised me it was so cheap for a one of transaction. I needed to get some alloy bars transported from Sydney to Newcastle a few months ago so i called TNT who quoted me $160 per item. I now use a little operator who charges me between 10 and 15 bucks per item. Bit of a difference. Maybe your local Pack N Send could organise pick-up for you, and have them bought back to them. even with thier commision it could be a lot cheaper. Not even sure if Pack N Send still exist but if they do its worth a phone call.
