From what I've read (and seen) of the Kia Sportage's offroad abilities, it's possibly the first one that's ever made it through the soft sand down to the water...... :lmao:

Plenty of soft roaders get themselves into trouble on the beach up my way, they really start to panick when the tide starts coming in!

My old man rescued dozens of people over the years who took all sorts of cars onto Goolwa beach and down to the Murray mouth - there were quite a few that didn't get rescued either and are still buried in the sand somewhere. Best lose was a Mercedes Uni-Mog 4WD truck thingy :)

well... by leaving it in the water overnight, getting covered by a high tide and getting lots of salt water and air through it... she's done the right thing

Hilarious, seen it millions of times. Gotta love watching tourists and softroaders get bogged North of Noosa. Seen a few completely destroyed. One of the most hilarious experiences was watching Japanese tourists destroy a hired 100 series landcruiser in 40 minutes on Moreton Island. They got it bogged, got it even more bogged and then almost rolled it on a very steep sharp dropoff on the beach. An old schooler in a old Landrover bailed them out just before it completely tipped over into the water. Certainly got a nice bath of salt water on one side.

I would have helped but i was too busy absoltuely laughing my arse of on a boat about 200m offshore.
