Hi,
As i was cleaning the car today, i removed the lhr carpet mat and noticed it was soaked in water underneath. Put my hand on the carpet and it was also soaked.
Just wondering if any one else has had any similar problems with water getting into their VY. (rooflining and seats were dry)

Only when you wash the car with the windows down :smilesandbanana:
Nah seriously mate I never had an issue with water in my VY.

on my vy the drivers door seal about half way the 'a' pillar allowed water to get in especially with a high pressure wash.
if there is alot of water getting into your door sill i'd say your door may need adjustment.

Could be several things.
The top frame seal, the weatherstrip around the body, or the plastic skin glued to the door shell behind the door trim are all potential causes of a leak in this model.

There are rubber gromits sealing some drainage points on the cars undercarriage, maybe they are not sealing properly (rubber may have cracked), otherwise as said the door seals as said above.... good luck finding the leak!

Just saw your post, where's the A/C drain tube located?

Thanx for the replies. I'll start investigating some of the suggestions.

The plastic skin behind the door trim is perhaps the most common we see at work. Run some water over the glass, then run your fingers along the bottom edge of the door trim where it meets the inside part of the door shell. If you can feel (or see) the occasional small run or drop along the edge there, it will be your cause.

Yeah - have simlar in my VY - small amount of water ingress at the bottom of the passenger front and rear and drivers door - I think it comes in on top of the door seal (above window where it meets roof) and sneaks in around the side of the door seal somehow to end up on top of the bottom door seal and overflows onto the inside plastic sill and down onto the floor.
Not all the time but occasionally.
Wiping silicone spray over the seals seem to help them keep their place and seal better - maybe beads the water up and runs it out?
