A couple of weeks ago i purchased the VE Sedan track sticker package $300 (or whatever it's called) for my VY Ute.

So tonight i decided to see what it would look like before actually going ahead with it. As i havent washed the car for about 3 months (and the gearbox is out for braided line mod), I wont be taken the protective covers for the stickers off until i get the car detailed.

My first thoughts are... I like it. :) Still keeps the vy pointy nose and isn't too obtrusive like a Monaro bonnet would be.

I haven't decided whether or not to do the roof, but I'm leaning towards doing it as well. Your thoughts?

Do it... seen a few dealers doing it to spice up used cars and it doesn't look too bad at all. Like you said, better than a bloody monaro bonnet :nyuk:

i havent cut the stickers at all yet.

So it's how it came. Will need to do some cleaning up of the edges once i do put it on though and the stickers as a few are not cut straight.

Have a hothouse SS ute too and have thought about the monaro bonnet but couldn't bring myself to do it. Like the idea of what you're doing and would be keen to see some after photos, what's with the spare bonnet?

Not too sure about them. Maybe take some pics outside in the light from further away to see what it would look like.

Nah, I don't like the fact that they seem to start nowhere, at least with the nostril bonnet they come from somewhere, seems every man and his dog has stripes now.
If you do it, I think white's the best colour - good luck.

I agree I would go for the black not white.

As mentioned below are you doing the tray cover as well?

I was wondering whether anyone was going to do this. Wouldn't mind getting some Matte Black ones for my white VX (with dark monaro lights, shadow chrome factory rims). I actually think they look better than on the VE. Just need someone with more balls, and money, than me to do it so I can see what its like. Post some pics up when its all shiny and new.

I'm not sure if black stripes would look good on green. On white or red they look fantastic IMO. Now you got me thinking what they would look like on my wagon.

To me, it looks like the stickers are fighting with the lines of the bonnet. Maybe angle them a little so they run with the two ridges in the bonnet?
