Forum,
As an example, my VS Commodore A4 shifts into "lock up" at approx 80 km/hr at "cruise/light" throttle settings!
Is it possible for tuners to "reprogram" the electronic controls to allow the shift to occur say at 75 km?
I ask because I believe some transmissions will not engage higher gears until beyond 110km/hr and so if the legal limit is 100km/hr, then the advantages of this "high cruise" gear is lost.
If the transmission could be re-programmed to say 100km/hr engagement, then the fuel use would be less!
Any comments would be appreciated.
