Mark,

I didnt mean to upset you mate! Oh, hang on... FFS I didnt mean to hit a nerve, lmao! It was a legitemate question as I know the authorities are alot harder on cars down there than they are up here!

Daily driver or not and whether you're Einstein or not, you wouldn't spend a sh!t load of money on a car for it to be defected the 1st time a Police Officer pulls you over.... would you?

I'll be sure to post up my engineering report once she's back from SummerNats! :)

HPF - Awesome cars guys and I look forward to catching up with you and the cars in Canberra!

Regards,

Scotty

P.S. Sorry about the "hijack"

So you HAVE spent a shitload on your car, it is NOT engineered, and your driving it around.

And here you are preaching this shit to others.

Honestly, go have a tug with your car and leave us alone.

To be engineered in darwin you have to put a submission into the MVR(transport mob) with whats been done to the car and what you intend on doing with the car then they inspect the car. Then a comittee decides if it passes and gets plated and this can take a few months, it's not like yours where they hand plates out willy nilly.

Sorry forgot to add good luck with the 3 car at the summernat and horsepower hero's

The car blew a tyre and the cameraman has skidmarks :lmao:

Wow. These cars are insane!! Its a real credit to you guys and your customers. Bloody good work. See ya at the Nats!!

Way to go Hazza, keep an eye on the AFR's and give us some feedback some tuning too while your there.

Come again? If your referring to Alex's ute I think you better go re-read who said what about the tune being poor.

ohh ... you mean this ??? ( taken from another forum ) pretty clear to me

I will comment here and echo bluess57's words.

Yes on the day it ran a bit lean, something to do with atmospheric conditions between Sydney and Canberra maybe. From what I saw, the smoke/oil issues from the qualifier were gone and there were no smoke/oil issues with it.

Apologies for the mystic quote guys, HAzzaHSV is quite the clever cookie

Enjoy the Nats

Nice selective quoting there Ken. But wrong again. Like I already said, there was no pinging evident, and so the car was run twice and subsequently won N/A. If we had thought the tune was poor or engine was pinging we would not have run it a second time, so we had no problems with the tune. AFR's were only brought up with the owner just in case there may have been an issue (ie bad injector, fuel pump problem etc). You really should try not to bend the facts to try and create tension for whatever reason you are doing so.

Here's the actual statement and your response regarding who said the tune may have been poor.

A lean / poor tune ?? really ??? is this your opinion or someone elses ?

So its pretty clear to me, Alex and JusticeR8 that nothing but respect for the car came from us. I was echoing bluess57's other post regarding what transpired (ie AFR was a bit lean, Alex was told no pinging, and asked whether he was fine for another run), not about the state of the tune. This misunderstanding of yours has already been cleared up with Justice and Sam, so best have a chat to them. Also this thread is for HPF and their Summernats warriors so best not drag it off topic.

Maybey you could teach Hazza about tunng and not to go on forums supporting other idiots and quoting that a tune is lean.

Unless you haven't checked what he posted yet

As Hazza said he just quoted what someone else said (ask sam & darren), you can't teach a keyboard warrior like yourself, how to tune in 5min, it takes years of experience! Sam knows his shit, he tunes engines on the Engine dyno with BSFC which is the most accurate & consistent way of tuning an engine. My 830+ n/a chev run's a average of 0.45 & 0.46 BSFC with an AFR of 13:8, the AFR is high due to a very effecient head. I ran alex's ute up on the dyno on the dyno day as respect for alex & his beast of a ute & sam's very fresh insane engine(which went in the car & tuned the night before) i only gave two pulls, these engine's don't make 400+kw when the tune is too lean, owe afr meter will probably read diff to sam's engine bsfc test, We use two Afr's on a Chassis dyno one before & after the cat on big kw cars that work's for us!
