found this promotional footage of the first 'V8 Supercars Bathurst 1000' pretty good clip, you woudnt get away with some of the love taps in todays racing compared to back then

Seen that a few times before - good clip though :)
Always wondered what the point of throwing a bucket of water onto an oncoming car was though (see 2:30)

The reason for the water throwing was , a car they were folowing had an oil leak and dumped oil all over the windscreen , HRT didnt want to lose time by making a pitstop . But this back fire in a big way when they hit the windscreen with the water it cave the windscreen in and they had to come in and remove the windscreen , so they lost more time than just coming in and washing it .
