does anyone know how much HP a garret ta45 flows?
do you think this would be to big for a 5 litre?
and what sort of $$ they might be worth.

Definitely too big for a 5L as it would only just begin to spool just prior to the rev limiter.
What is your power goals?

hey thanks for that mate i want to get anywhere between 270 - 300 kw's at the wheels the camshaft i have fitted now has put up around the 180 rwkw mark and is forced induction ok.
so what are your thoughts?
i emailed ezy 10's and they are doing up a quote for turbo kit fuel system intake manifold to hopefully get me somewhere around there.
if i have to go to a 355 stroker to achieve this i will and just delay the turbo for a bit longer.
cheers tom

I would be looking more at a GT35R(around 600Hp@crank/450rwHp potential)
Obviously, the engine would need to be rebuilt to suit the boost/horsepower levels your chasing.

Sorry to bring up a old thread but,
I have the possibility of buying a TA45 at a good price. I know nothing about tubos so was hoping that someone with a little or a lot of knowledge will be able to help.
The specs of the turbo are:
Garret TA45, front is a .70AR and the rear is a 1.4AR will this be suitable for my project I only ever intend to run low boost ie: no more than 10psi and am not planning on opening the motor? It's not going to be a ball tearier of a car I just want something that will hold its ground at the track. Where do you think boost will come on and run out?
Any info you can help me with would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
