Hello fellow bogans,

First of all this is not a for sale thread (not yet anyway). I have ordered a complete new diff for my VESS so I can go to 3.7 ratio. I would expect my old diff (only 2500k's old) with a 3.4 ratio would be hot property for someone with a VESS Auto as the change in diff ratio will really make their car get up and go. My question is: should I advertise my diff before it gets removed so that any potential buyer can see it working on the car? I'm not very mechanically minded and don't know if seeing that the diff works perfectly on my car would be advantagous for any prospective buyer, showing that my sale is truely a genuine one.

Any thoughts......

I wouldn't be too concerned mate.
Just sell it once its out off your car.

When time comes to sell it, just make sure you advertise how many ks the diff has done.

What's involved in getting the speedo and gearchanges correct after the ratio swap, is it just a software change that Holden can easily perform (eg. Tech 2 and enter HSV value for 3.7's), or does it require an "edit" by a tuner?

Looks like my new diff arrived at the dealer today!!

I would think just a software change would do it, no tune required.
