Hi all,
can anyone advise on what brake pads i need for this beast?
It has Red PBR Calipers all round...as STD
Rear = ok DB1332
Front = problem...
they are not DB1331,DB1344, and i had a look at some 7599's today, and they have small metal clip in one corner of the inner pad, which the OEM pads do not have.
no one seems to know what pads they actualy use, a guy at holden told me that all VT~VZ are the same pad even when i showed the car?
any help would be appreciated.

From what I have been told the SSZ / 2006 VZ SS use the C6 caliper as per the HBD brake upgrade.
I was searching through some threads last night and LS1GTO.com and it says that the C5 pads are the same as the C6 which would mean the Bendix 7599 are the ones to use, not sure on the metal clip though.
Maybe if you talk to PBR themselves they may be able to confirm this, I have been talking to Cindy at PBR and she is really helpful and good with part numbers, her email is cindy_heib@pbr.com.au or maybe planetdavo or someone on the "inside" can confirm this as well.

Brought and installed a set on Tuesday. They are called a C5 pad and the 7599 is the correct pad. The clip on the side is to make a noise when they are getting low (like other pads) and the height of the clip is about 3mm from the backing plate.
And the OEM ones on ours didnt have the clip either.

SSZ brakes are simply what is listed for VZ Monaro, which everyone has listings on.
DB1332 will not fit the rear, unless your rear rotors are quite worn. You need the thinner versions of these, as per VZ Monaro listing again.
