A mate has a 2007 Senator. Each time he hits the ingition, a symphony of warning signals play dutifully to the point of driving him unsane. Does anyone know if these can be disabled (without physically damaging the car)?
Regards, dan
Are you just talking about the system check that nearly EVERY modern car built goes through as it starts up?
Cause if they're driving the guy nearly insane, I think he needs to address some other issues.
If he has warnings that stay on, he just needs to contact his dealer and get anything that's not right fixed under warranty.

What sort of warning signals? Has he thought about getting it checked out to see if there's a good reason for them rather than finding a way to disable them?

Just the ones at start up.
What other issues are you thinking about??

Sounds like it could be the seat belt warning chime. The easy answer is to put your seat belt on before starting the car.

If he wants to swap for a VU SS then no problem as i can guarantee no warning signals at all during start up and therefore maintaining his sanity...small price to pay if you ask me! haha

Great reply - I'll ask him but I'm pretty sure I know what the answer will be lol

Just checked with my mate and here is his reply:
First one comes on Beep.................Beep........................B eep when you first turn the key.
Second one comes on immediately halfway through the three beep first alarm saying I am too close to the end of my garage, beep beep beep.....beep beep beep.
Third one comes on when I put the car into reverse. Beeep Beeep Beeep
Just like the alarm that comes on when I am not wearing a seat belt and the alarm which comes on if the hand break is on or the alarm that says I just farted they all work fuc*^%$#@ perfectly, I just do not want the noise can someone shut them up...........

There are a few things he can try without trying to disable the various chimes. All I do is put the seat belt on first to disable the seat belt warning chime, then put car in reverse and after moving about half a meter I put it into neutral to disable the front and rear park assist chimes. Then I just coast out the garage and down the driveway until I'm past the garage and bushes that affect the park sensors. No noise that way. It can be annoying but there are ways around it.

Firstly put seat belt on first, as mentioned.
Secondly I dont have reverse sensors so no problem, thankfully.
Thirdly I have no beeping whilst reversing, thankfully again.
Tell your mate to just get an SS next time.
I'm on my second VE and niether have had the seatbelt chime people complain about. Just a small flashing light......

Thanks Mac - sounds like a plan.
