You might want to consider your Name first. At the moment you are only catering for the LS1s only. If you want to include the VE`s , they have the L98 engines. Just food for thought.........Cheers John

Not about being exclusive, just have a club that all had something in common, SS's LOL

What could the club offer people?

I was thinking as a bit of a social thing and maybe have displays at all holden days and stuff like that

If there is going to be a criteria what would it be?
if it is an ss club would it include all SS? (5.0) my opinion would be if it is SS it should involve anyone with an SS.

If it is LS1 SS will it include non SS vehicles?

Regardless of the criteria it will be impossible to please everyone unless it is the Melbourne 1980 to present V8 holden club:)

Once that is decided, I think anything needs to be informal, just a bunch of people sharing a common interest, with cars, car mods, etc.
Maybe cruise days/bbq's. meet up/ cruise to V8 supercar races etc.

Anyway if my car meets the criteria, count me in.

Cheers

I would possibly be interested, I'd enjoy the social aspect of getting together with like minded individuals but realistically it depends where it would be based also, I dont feel like constantly travelling all over town for meets.

I just thought a club for LS series SS would be easier to manage and control as opposed to a club for any SS commodores

Thats good, cause i would qualify for it.:)

You have to make it broader I reckon. Many people start with an SS but then move on...like me. I had three SSs- VS, VX, VZ - maybe former SS owners should qualify.

Agreed.
I would keep it to SS SS-V LS# for starters and see how it goes..
Caprice270 might have a point, many clubs stipulate
"must own, or have owned................."

I would include the earlier SS's as well, if ever you had a display or function it would be a lot more interesting to see nice original or restored VH-VN-VS SS's as well, rather than a whole bunch of VT-VZ and VE's. If you're going to have an SS club it should include the lot. Sort of like having a Falcon GT club and saying only 351 Clevelands allowed.

I think all SS's, good idea.

If you have something else there is always LS1.com.au.

That would keep it easy, neat and tidy.

Go for it. :yup:

Maybe all SS's is the go.

I'm not sure about the whole if you have owned an SS thing. Most people have owned an SS at some stage or another

Personally I would just leave it open to anyone on this forum.
Thats why we are all here. Why limit to only LS or SS's ?
I would comfortably say everyone on this forum is an enthuisiast. Otherwise they wouldn't be here.

Leave it open, the more the merrier.

Search the forum for past cruise days and events, and you will find an array of Holden and even non Holden power vehicles, all cruising together and socialising together.

Brings all walks of lifes together. Why exclude anyone ?
If you prefer to just talk to SS owners, thats fine and good, but you'll find most guys here happily interact with any LS1 member, even the fffffford and non Holden members.. hehehehe

Good idea overall, but diversify I reckon.
Well done , and 10 points for effort in creating possible new ventures. :)
