Yeah had a mate put one on his maloo...It looked awesome. It was an electric one that lifted up at the rear, then would slide back to create an opening...I have no idea how much it cost though, sorry.

For a ute you'd probably have to get one of those ones that opens up and then slides back rather than down and into the roof lining.

My mate had one installed by Prestige Sunroofs in perth (think that was the name?). it was around $1300 installed. i have been thinking of doin the same to my ute.

Hollandia sunroof is a quality product and has the tilt and retract mechanism for the utes. I am hoping to have mine fitted in the next few weeks as well.

Pplenty of research and be prepared to pay for a quality install rather than the cheapest product.

This came to mind:

i used to have vk grp A replica, 'Prestige Sunroofs' put in a manual sunroof in that, cost around $700, they did an excellent job it never gave me any trouble with regards to leaking or anything....definately recommend them

Sorry dont have any pics but it looks pretty flash to me! he got the smaller ute version put in his sedan and hasnt had a problem with it at all in the 12 months he has had it. the bigger sedan version was more expensive obviously.

I am thinking about getting a sunroof for the Monaro....
How much headroom do you loose with the hollandia 700?
I am thinking I might go for the Hollandia 300:

Does the 300 take less interior roof space to install?
How does the size and cost installed compare to the 700?

That looks :weirdo:......

Maybe... but with the potential extra headroom and half the cost I am considering it. I normally only tilt a sunroof so it will look just like the 700 when tilted.

Your sunroof for the Monaro will slide inside the roof and not outside like that version in the pic. Brother has one in his Monaro and headroom isn't a problem for 6'1" tall blokes.
I think they are an awesome idea, at least do it with one car in your life!

i know the bloke that runs prestige sunroofs as he is mates with my dad because prestige sunroofs is just around the corner from my dads workshop. They do a very neat job, i know three people who have had sunroofs done by them and all have been very happy, incl my dad in his VU. If you want i can get pics of the smaller size for the utes and the newer larger size if you want, as my dads has the small one and his panel beater has the larger one in his VY ute.
