While I no longer teach, and am in VIC, I can give the following advice in selecting a driving instructor and getting P's
* Study the Transport SA requirements in detail
* Find an instructor that teaches defensive driving techniques, such as the System of Vehicle Control as the police learn. This will help stop you from adding to P-plate crash stats (it works for them!)
* If opting for the practical test, the instructor needs to be able to run simulated tests on typical test route roads, or can give you details of required competencies if going for the CBT, so you can practice doing things the right way.
