WHEN you bore and stroke the last of the 308 blocks out to 355/396 how come they don't have short piston life and become oil burning piston slappers ? mine is 7 years old now and doesnt burn a drop of oil, rattle, or smoke on start up
AND it gets SOME RPM SHOVED UP IT :)

apparently from what i read on the forum if you bore and stroke an LS1/LS2 aloy block to the same percentage it is not very reliable ?
do the old 308 blocks have a longer block {bore }to accommodate a longer skirt on the piston to stop piston slap and oil burning ?
just asking

yes 308 {opt stroked 350 only in the last few months] in vt were all cast iron with extra thick cylinder walls
