I bought a auto gauge smoke series oil pressure gauge and when I connected it up it goes straight to 100 psi
it has 2 red wires that I connected to ignition
2 black which I earthed out
1 green which goes to the sender
1 orange which is lights
now when i connect the 1 black and 1 red up it light's up with ignition on
but when i connected the second red and black it goes straight to 100 psi
think the gauge must be faulty
anyone got and suggestions

Did it come with a wiring diagram?

If you power everything up without connecting to the sender, does the gauge still max out?

Looks like you've got a dud sender.
To be sure disconnect the wire from the sender and connect it to ground\chassis. The gauge should go to Zero.
