Take the boot lining on inside left off and it's up in front of the battery.

Cool. Thanks for reminding me! I'm going to wind up the bass on mine today too :D

It's nice having parcel shelf speakers again. Can't believe the Calais didn't have them (only the dash, front and rear door speakers) but the Clubby does!

The VE Calais has the 9 speaker 150W system. The Calais V has the 11 speaker 230W system and so does my new Clubby :D

Be careful turning up the subby gain control on the amp, it causes quite a bit of rattle and vibration, therefore possibly being the reason why Holden chose to set it at its minimum and not publicize where the gain control is.

Believe me, it only took a few weeks for me to turn it back down to at least half way.... bass is good, but vibration and rattling sucks ass.

Both my VE SSV and a mates VE R8 experienced the same results.... play with it to find the position that works best for your style of music.

Thanks

I find that I keep the base at 4 on the head unit and it sounds fine playing rock music. I dont need too much bass when I listen to rock 'cos I wanna be hearing the guitar mostly.

This is quite possibly the easiest mod to do... Just did mine. Don't even need a screw driver (although I had to climb into the boot to find the gain knob).

Turn the gain all the way up so you don't have to pull it all apart again and then control the bass level through the HU.

Yeah mate, from what i remember it was almost like a 14mm-16mm 'recessed' black plastic screw in appearance, but it is definitely the knob you're looking for.

For your info, Im pretty certain its the only one, facing the back seat of the amp box, so you may have to crawl halfway into the boot to see it.

Good luck....
