The mrs's shorten the front of my VT late last year and I have put it in to the panelbeaters for repairs I had a few problems with the panelbeaters when I first got it back anyway doz the insurance cover them fixing the stone chips on the bonnet that they had to fix ?

what they done is just sprayed straight over them

The Insurance claim you make only covers damage from one particular incident, so technically the panel beaters wouldn't have to repair those stone chips as they are not getting paid to do so.

If this was my car I believe the car should be repaired so as that it is not so obviuos its had a repair done. Therefore I would be making sure they did not just paint over the stone chips as this is not a suitable fix.

You need to talk to your insurance company and point out to them that the car didnt show signs of previous repairs and now it does. They then should make the repairer fix the problem as thats what they got paid to do.

If you read the fine print of your policy, it should say something along the lines of "repair to BEFORE ACCIDENT condition".
Understand the meaning of that. It will often mean you DON'T get your stone chips fixed up for free, because they were there BEFORE the accident. A used car is STILL a used car.
You will have to speak to the insurance company. Whatever we all say on here about their duty to repair means jack, to be honest.

If they are returning the vehicle to Before Accident condition, then the stone chips would probably look better without overspray, etc in them making them look worse.

Once you get it fixed, it will only get covered in stone chips again. What I would have done, was talk to your repairer and try and get a good price to get the whole area sprayed.I know you will be out of pocket a little, but you will get a better job .
