The missus has been driving the car for a while because I have had work supplied cars and I the other day I got in it and found it was pulling left.

When you go slow (walking pace) you let go of the wheel it pulls harsh left with (seems to pulse left) with every wheel rotation..

I took it to Holden for a service and I asked them to check it out and check the tyres in case I threw a weight and also do a wheel alignment.

When I picked it up they said they didnt touch the car or look for any problems because the tyres were worn. Thanks!!!

I thought the link pin was going as I had heard some clunks before , but now there is a rattle coming from under the car. It may be a loose bracket or something and it may be co incidental to the wheel wobble. The missus says she has not hit a gutter or anything which I believe, because the rims are not damaged.

What should I look for under the car to see if my link pins a shagged.

There's a few things I reckon could be causing your problems.
I'm sure the linkpin wouldn't cause it to pull left and shouldn't even cause any knock's or rattles in a VY unless it had had a whack.
Even though the rims/wheels don't appear damaged I wouldn't say she definetely hasn't hit a kerb or something. It may have even been something fairly minor that has just put the wheel alignment out.
A very likely cause is a stuffed radius rod bush, and more likely than not the big one on the front. Possibly even another suspension bush but your best bet is to get it along to a Pedders or other specialist suspension/steering workshop get them to check it over and wheel align it if they can't find anything wrong.
I hope that helps and you can sort it out pretty easily.

Good advice.

Here is probably the dumbest question that I have asked on this forum. What are the chances of this being covered by Holdens extended warranty?

I wouldn't think it's a dumb question but I'd say your chances of something like that being covered under warranty aren't good. If you can prove or Holden or another specialist determines it was a faulty part/component then they will/should cover it. If it is the front radius bush they should cover it as these have been a common problem that Holden were aware of.
Generally they will try to find a way out of covering a lot of potential warranty claims unless it is definetely a fault caused by Holden/HSV or a component failure. Especially with suspension as there are so many factors caused by the driving of the vehicle and general wear and tear that they could get out of having to cover.
However that said the dealers do generally want to keep their custoemrs happy and it can't hurt to ask.
