So ive heard all the warnings about insurance companies not paying up for cars with illegal tint. Has anyone here had a claim rejected as a result of illegal tints? Just want to figure out if it is a myth or not.

Cant speak for anyone else, But i have had 6 New Utes now all tinted with 5% had 3 claims, 1 in the dark, Never knocked back.

Yeah same as above. Never heard of someone getting knocked back because of tint. I just put some black 20% tint on my car and it makes a huge difference in the inside temp, looks and even security,

Even though 35% is darkest legal it isnt really enough for my liking as too much heat still gets in and doesnt look as nice.

You'd be unlucky to get insurance knocked back, UNLESS, the police accident investigation people decide that your illegally dark tint was the reason you pulled out of (one example) a T intersection in front of a car and got hammered.
Then, you have a problem on your hands....
One thing to remember.
"Popular opinion" on a forum means absolutely JACK to an insurance company!

I'd agree with planetdavo - would be a rarity but knowing me I'd be the poor bunny it would happen to ....... :(
