Home Workshop Just Got Better!

I thought I might just share with you guys our latest addition to the workshop. As we are at the closing stages of a vehicle restoration (almost ready for paint) we decided to bite the bullet and build a spray booth to minimize post paint finishing (buffing etc). It is not full size (due to limited shed space) but being modular can be extended without too much effort at a later stage.

The booth features:
- 3 phase explosion proof exhaust fan
- Fully sealed fluro lighting
- Inlet and paint arrestor (exhaust) filters

The booth will be used to paint an old restored truck (1941 International)shortly and then hopefully a few nice things after that.

What's the plan for the 41 International trav, a keeper, what colour ( red I'm thinking )?

They bring good bucks in the U.S.

Before applying paint in the booth on ya Truck, you can purchase some spray-on-gel coating to protect the walls and lights from tough over spray ( 2 pack paint etc.). This can be easily removed with a jet wash and the spray booth sealer is water soluable. This can be purchased at any Automotive Paint Store that provides materials to the smash repair industry.

Just a thought mate.

I heard something on the grape vine that there are some new emitions levels coming in for spray booths meaning that most booths have to be upgraded to pass.

i dont know the details but it would be worth checking out.
