--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I recently purchased a repairable ride-off VS 1996/97 Vs Holden Ute. I've completed the body work and paint. The conversion was completed by the previous owner. I believe the ute did not go back through rego since the car was converted from V6 to V8 (NSW Reg). Now the car is here in the A.C.T and i think i'm gonna have some issues with Rego! I have the current documentation for the car including a Rev's check, history of the ute and the V8 motor. The conversion (under the hood etc.) appears to be o'k, however, i'm inquiring about the if i need to change over from the existing V6 instuments in the dash (speedo and fuel etc.) to V8 instruments and, how would i determine the size of the tank from a V6 to a V8 visually? In addition, is it difficult to put in a air con system? It's a povo pack and i would like to put some air in the ute. Above all, the conversion regarding mechanics appears to be in good order. If anyone has any other suggestions regarding things to-do, please let me know.

Cheers

this is the second thread you have started asking the same thing
wrong section mate holden powertrain is the spot for it where you already have it
but you shouldnt have a problem with rego as that model came out with a 5L
i think the dash is different for v6 but not 100% on that
