Hankook Ventus Sport K104 are a fantastic tyre and is very grippy. Came third in the Wheels Tyre review for 2006 and 2007. Dunlop and Pirelli beat them but cost a lot more per tyre. Was the best bang for the buck.
Hankook Ventus K102 and the 105 are also good tyres for daily drivers but the K104 is the pick of the bunch.

i have the k104 sports on the evo 8 for a while now and they grip well when punting hard through corners
i`m impressed enough with them to consider putting them on our ss when that needs new rubber

Thanks guys. Well they were on the WK Caprice I just brought and I read some bad reviews saying the tyre wall was very weak and the tyre may collapse if you hit a pothole at speed, so was a little concerned about that and had actually started looking at prices to replace them. But do these things grip or what, done a couple of hundred kms in the sydney wet this weekend and they really hang on, the bridgestone turanzas on the old caprice I traded weren't as well planted as these. Anyone had any damage with potholes?

The only issue with the sidewalls is that LOTS of drivers fit low profile tyres and run the stock air pressures(28~34psi)
Depending on the tyre size you have, the air pressure needs to be higher.
I have 215/35R18 K104's on my Pulsar and they require 44psi for optimal performance! It is actually more bone jarring running lower pressures as the rim itself crushes the sidewall and allows the rim to hit the ground. This pinches the sidewall and the sidewall splits. The low profile tyres require air volume in the tyre to stop the sidewall from being damaged.
My ute was runing 39psi with 245/35R19's and was a very comfortable ride.
Keep the tyre pressure up and you should get plenty of life from them :)

Thanks for the tip about pressure. Does the tyre have on it what it shoud be inflated to?

Not listed on the tyre anywhere as to a recommended pressure. It all comes down to the weight of the car and what the side wall height is.
I would run atleast 38psi in them but ask a tyre shop for their recommendation as well.

I have changed to the Hankook ventus k104's 245/40 18" running 40 psi .Really nice feel to them wet & dry traction is allways a bit of an issue with my set up but the steerability through the powerslide is quite good.
