door lock actuator

Dad has a Saab for one of his cars, door lock stopped working,I pulled the actuator out for him. He rang before to say Saab want $350 for it :vpo:

So can they be repaired instead, other alternatives?

Can get them cheaper direct from US but he doesn't want to purchase over the net..

Your only other option is to try the wreckers,but you dont know how long that one will last. Why dont you try a small electric motor repair centre? You having nothing to lose .
