Anyone else had winges about shops etc?
Im not going to name the shop in Perth, as they have come to the party but just thought i would see how many others have had similar stuff happen, and if they did the right thing by you in the end.
Ok picked my new VE SS ute today, all smiles.
Dropped it of at the window tinting place, and walked down to get some lunch.
Came back and noticed my ute was parked on an angle, taking up a couple of parking bays.
My first thought was, i bet they have scratched under my front bumper.
Sure enough get down and have a look and theres gauges both left and right sides under the bumper, although not visable looking from the front of the car thank goodness.
So as you can imagine pretty pissed of, walk in demand to see the owner.
He apolgises, we then drive to his panel beater around the corner, ute is booked in to get the underside of the front bumper fixed in 2 weeks
Not happy at all, but at least the owner has done the right thing and came to the party, he is also throwing in fabric protection worth $150 free.
But yeah back to the garage to admire my new ute .

I wonder how til someone asks who is it who is it, name em name em. Good to see they fixed it anyway.
I might think twice about getting tinting done myself as I have had numerous issues with bubbling and poor workmanship from several places. At least if you get it from Holdens, when purchasing a new car, they deal with all of your problems. Had my car defected once and took it back to holdens to organise some legal tint. Easy.

I was going to get Holden to organise tint but they wanted $650 to do it, i paid $260 with a 10 year warranty.
I WONT be naming the place, as they came to the party and owned up.
If they didnt then it would be a different story!

This is a great story! The owner of the shop had an employee that damaged a customers car, the owner of the shop then fully compensates the owner of the car and then some.:)
There is good genuine people out there and this proves it!!!
Everybody makes mistakes, only some fix them..
Congrats on the new rig mate, post some pics up!!!!

I had a mate who went to a shop and the wrong thing happened. Luckily he took it to another shop and they fixed it. The guy that worked for the old shop doesn't work there anymore so I don't think I should name them. Another guy I know had a bad experience at the shop that did the right thing fixing the other car so I am not going to name them either. I also heard he was caught doing the wrong thing in someone's ute. The thing is Im not sure if that place knows about the other place.

What's the purpose of this thread?
Some people like to vent which is fine by me and i'm sure the majority of peeps here don't mind either.Makes the person feel better.
Kudos to the shop for wanting to right the problem
By the way,how did they go with the tint?

Who ever guessed .......................
3 Minutes - Wrong
3 Hours - Wrong
3 days - Working on it :)
I dont mind if I scrape the underside of my front spoiler but with 6 kms on the odometer i dont expect anyone else to!
The tint turned out fine, ordered midnite express, darkest legal, so on a black ute looks good.
For those people asking, the purpose of this thread was to
A.) Vent my frustration
B.) To Show that there are companies out there, that will do the right thing when the mess up and
C.) To hear any other good stories people have about shops owning up to their mistakes.
:)
