Hi, My friend's Astra (2004 Classic) has developed an issue of late.
You go to indicator right and it goes fast like a globe is blown then every so often it will slow down and then it will indicate as per normal. Left indicator is fine, perfect all the time.
Put the hazards on and even though the clicking from the flasher can is a consistent tick only the left hand lights (front near headlight, front fender and rear + in dash left) are working fine, right ones are only coming on and off every few flashes..
I am thinking replace the flasher can (should be a small can like that they use to be in the old VK C'dores maybe.)
Then might be a trip to the sparky..

I have replaced the globe near headlight and rear but not the one on the fender as it does come on.

Oh and sometimes it will work as per normal so its not happening all the time but it seems to be getting worse which is good for us.

What do you guys think ?

Had this problem with the outlaw's ( the mother in-law ) car. I changed all the globes on the affected side. This fixed the problem.

Now I have a problem with the wifes and outlaw's car with the rear park/stop globe. The problem is not with the globe as the globe works when the brakes are applied but stranglely enough does not work with the park/headlights on.

It could be the globe holder that clicks into the back of the headlight.

Faulty flasher cans (relays) are fairly common on these. They used a separate left and right hand flasher relay, which has been superceded to an integrated big single relay that plugs straight in.
