Hit & Run

hey guys

just wondering if anyone knows of a good local painter/panel beater as i have to replace my rear bumper bar as some ASSHOLE decided to do a hit and run while i was asleep friday night..

wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a second hand bumper and just get it resprayed??

living in the western suburbs but is willing to travel..

and if so how much would it cost to get a rear bumper re-sprayed and fitted?

A new rear bar is $203.50 from Holmart, I'm assuming thats the correct bar...

A paint job is around $350 from memory... or thats what dad was quoted to have his rear bar resprayed.

Depending on your cars colour it might be worth calling up some wreckers and seeing if you can find a used bar in the same colour... it should save some money and possibly some colour matching headaches.

yea colour is sort of a problem as my car is tiger mica..

hard to find..

Or, even simply take it to a painter who knows what they are doing.

I used to paint cars for a bit. By no means was I as skilled as one of the guys I worked with, but I have personally seen him match tiger mica to two cars. It can be done if your painter knows his stuff and is prepared to take the time to match the paint a few times til it's right.
