Where to get rims repaired, Syd or S/Coast?

Hey, i want to get the lips on my rims machined to get rid of the gutter dammage to them.

I have no idea how the prev owner did it, but every wheel is marked, from 1 with just a few marks, to another that is almost the entire wheel.

I am located in Albion Park just south of the Gong, and im looking for somewhere kinda local, so either in the Illawarra or south sydney. I work at Menai, so if there is anyone out that way even better.

Also, what would i be looking at to get 4 whels done?

Why not get a few grades of paper and trying it yourself.
If it doesn't work out then seek professional help.

I just had a rim repaired on Monday this week. They came to my work and took care of the whole thing, repaired and repainted - all for only $120 which was heaps cheaper than I expected. Damage was a bad case of gutter rash from getting a little sideways through a roundabout a couple of weeks ago when it was pouring rain...

I used this company - they're in Gosford (central coast) but they have two trucks that go around Sydney. Call them and they'll give you the mobile number of the guy that'll service your area...

Cheers mate, the $120, was that just for 1 rim? How bad was the dammage? how long was the scratch if it was just a scratch...

There was a place in Investigator Drv, Unanderra (Used to be called Rebel Wheels) but now has a new name which I cannot find.

Also, a mate has some done (years ago) and a place in Fairy Meadow on the highway. It was in a shed down the same driveway as the truck place next to Gateway Holden.

One rim only. Guttered about 30cm long (a third of the rim) just on the outer lip, and some of the chunks missing were about 5mm deep! Rims are standard VT SS. He repaired the damage and repainted the rim.

If you give them a call they'll send a guy over and give you a quote. They did my quote on the Thursday and then came back to do the job on the Monday as they were too busy the day of the quote.

I didn't take any before and after photos unfortunately, otherwise I'd post them for you. When I saw the rim finished I thought they'd put my old tyre on a brand new rim, and I can't see now where the damage was.
