After having extractor and a growler installed recently some strange things have started to happen.

1- both rear indicators blew
2- strange electrical buzzing noise under the car.
3- both high beam gone, tried to turn them on and a warning noise(horrible buzzing ) comes on, would this be the relay or bulbs?
4- when unlocking the car it makes another strange noise (can't describe this)
5- when aircon is on get a intermitent buzzing from under the car (feels like under the drivers seat)

the car is a ve ssv and any suggestions would be welcomed.

I was thinking of installing the extractors myself, until Titanium provided me a list of things to do. one of them was disconnect the battery, if the installer didn't do this could he have fried my electrical system?

I'd be terrified to turn it on!

Sorry that doesn't help :(

wouldnt think the Growler system could cause any problems - but "yes" the extractor installation could have caused any number of things if he didnt know what he was doing.... good luck mate. Maybe get it on a Tech2 so they can see if any codes being thrown...

Sounds like you have a serious short circuit either from the work done or from extractors melting insulation.
I would have it checked ASAP.

If the fuses are not blowing it is unlikely to be a short, sounds like a earth problem, check the earth from the batt to engine and to the body, also check that the positive terminal is connected at the starter and batt, if its buzzing or clicking type sounds, it could be the relays working under low voltage conditions, just look for any loose wires around the extractors/starter and distribution box.

If you can't find it take it back to the exhaust shop and ask them if they had to move or remove wires.

the shop in question have said they're happy to get it fixed under warranty, just need to find out what's wrong.

New problem-------- when i put the high beams on my horn blows ( not loud but enough to make me pissed off ) but no light.:flamin:

problem solved. took the car into holden and asked them to find the problem plus others i was having with air con and stereo.
got a call from holden guy in the arvo and this was the first words out of his mouth, " you owe us $276 " so i asked why and he said something they had to fix behind the headlight that was broken when the growler was installed.
I didn't hear what they fixed because i was still a bit taken back by his opening statement.
I then asked if the other problems i was having with the car got fixed, he said that it was sorted. Fine i said, and by the way you can stick your $276 up your a**.
Strangely when i picked the car up the bloke who called me was nowhere to be seen and i got it all covered under warranty.
Anyone who knows what they may have fixed feel free to let me know.
