Reputable exhaust shop-Melbourne

I have a 'no-name' cat back exhaust with a holey muffler. Can anyone recommend a good exhaust shop in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, i'm in Blackburn. Also can anyone recommend a good brand of muffler.

I hear good things about Dandy Exhausts. It's a little hike but I guess that might be a way to go. I got my catback shipped to me from Sureflow in Sydney and fitted by my mechanic so that's about all I can offer for advice.

Depends what sort of car etc.

If you have an 5.7 and want something really good do as VXWAGMAN suggests and get a Sureflo sent down.
If you want a good cheap upgrade drop on an HSV catback.

If you have an earlier 5.0 or similar, I got some work done at Daalder in Box Hill (Middleborough Rd) a few years back for my VN V8 wagon - did a nice custom single 2 1/2 in cat back that sounded sweet with no drone - I think they use Mercury mufflers as stock but prob offer everything else.

Ringwood Performance exhausts in New Street I think are good too - not super cheap but they do quality work. Had another custom 2 1/2 in system done there another time with Lukey mufflers I think.

I had some work done by Midas in Blackburn in the wife's car and they were OK but they charge a bit more I think and they tend to deal more with stock stuff.
