If you are like me and stupidly believed that you would be able to keep those light urban mats clean and fresh looking, after a period of ownership (especially stupid when I have two young kids) then don't dispair. I just picked up today a set of the Calais V International mats which are Onyx (black) with the light urban piping and they look great. I believe that they will carry the general daily wear and tear alot better than my light urban ones. I ended up getting the complete set for $115 as my dealers service manager was trying to placate me after having to wait 6 months to get the DVD replaced. If anyone is interested I could take some piccys and post up.

Cheers

On the topic of car mats, I was quoted over $180 for a set of mats for my Caprice from my local Holden dealer.

One quick call to NVU and Ive now got the very same product en route for less than $80 delivered......

But in agreeance with racketsports, I shudder to think how long it is before the shale/reed coloured mats are f@*ked.

You have to admit though ,that the Light Urban interior looks Horn:drool:. I know it is hard to keep clean but that is the price you pay:woot:

yeah looks horn till you get it home from the dealership...

same with the missus car, was filthy within a week, got her a set of black E series HSV mats through the dealer network around $100 from memory. Problem solved!!!

Pity the door trims, seats, console etc arent as easy to reincarnate...

:bawl::bawl::bawl:

Makes you wonder about some of the euro trash which have literally white interiors :confused::confused:

Hmm, I should show this thread to my Dad - the only thing stopping him signing up for a VE Calais is that he doesn't want a black interior, but he also doesn't want to spend the extra money for a Calais V just to get Light Urban.

:)

Yeh the Light Urban Piping should look good.

I have light urban interior but boought a blcak set of mats as well as the light ones that came with the car. I use the light ones for show and dressy occasions, but daily use is the black ones. I actually like the black contrast....
