I sold mine for nearly $1200 with tyres (10,000 kms) on eBay. Had people asking how they fit earlier models and just told them theyre about $50 each to machine from some wheel shops. Let the buyer ring around and dont get them machined yourself as once theyre done, theyre done. A guy with an Omega bought mine and they had scratches too and he picked them up. I was happy.

Z & E Bros in Thomastown do our wheel work for machining, and wheels international at Ballarat do all our wheel repairs.

They will need the tyres stripped, and refitted.

Our now ex-sponsor Payless Tyres at Chullora.

Unfortunately Jeff now no longer works there (hence sponsorship dropping).

He really did appreciate the LS1 community and did good deals for its members.

Yeah, damned right Seedy! Just wish he was still there and sponsoring as the deal he did for me was hundreds better than anyone else and that was only on four rims, no tyres.

Dragging up an old thread... I've rang a few places in Canberra but no-one does it or knows who would. Might have to go to Payless in Sydney to get it done.

Its only 2mm of material that needs to be removed. Neales wheels in sydney, or as previously mentioned and engineering shop.

I reckon anyone with a mill and some time could do it.

I think Neales is $10 each for wheel shops.

Took me about 6 hours and $80 worth of bits for my tools to do one set. Never again

A word of caution for others. I rang Payless today about machining the VE wheels and we had a chat. I was informed the 245/40/19 factory tyres will foul on the front struts of a VY. He said you need 245/35 tyres for clearance. How bad or whether it's really a problem I don't know, but that was the info I was given.

The tyres rub on the front struts while turning sharp and sit about 1mm off while going straight, i ran them on mine for a little while without any probs, but yeah they did rub a bit so i swapped them after a whle

The bigger tyres will also throw out your speedo

I havnt had them machined yet so cant tell how bad they're going 2 be once there on, i hope they only just kiss the struts cos they look hot.
