Seems on cold mornings lately my airbag light comes on & sounds off a chime. When the car warms up it no longer occur. This is for a VX 55.
Did a few searches but couldn't find anything similar.

mines done that only once so i didnt worry bout it but if it not going away i might pay to bite the bullet and drop it off at holden dealer
Yeah I'd get that checked out, the last thing you want is for the airbag not to go off when you need it most - or to go off when you DON'T need it to, like when you're driving.
My thoughts would be because it's cold, the airbag sensor is being disturbed, but that's purely a guess.
When my ute needed a service, the airbag light would stay on for longer than normal, but it stopped doing it after I got it serviced so I put it down to the fact that because the "SERVICE 10 000KM" warning wasn't coming up on the screen anymore, the car could run its diagnostic checks faster. Do you have any warnings coming on - for anything at all, not just the airbag?

Gday mate also check the wiring connections into your seat cause it could be the seatbelt pre-tensioner. Which is the same light as the airbag.
Cheers

Thanks for replies. Unfortunatly it's still doing it on cold mornings then when it's warmed up & I restart it's fine..
Where would I find these sensors. I know there's one under the seat..

Mate do not mess around with the sensors or plugs under the seats. If you disturb them or unplug them when you have the ignition or accessory switched on the air bag light will come on and stay on untill you get it re set by a Holden dealer with a tech2.
This will not be your problem if the problem was in the sensors under the seats the light would stay on and not come on and off.
I suggest you get someone to check it out ASAP. :)

I've got a VX SS as well which has a similar problem. About a week after we bought it, started it one morning and it threw up the airbag warning light which has been on ever since (nearly a year now). Took it to an auto elec who cleared the fault error, turned the car on again, and the fault came so something definatly needs to be replaced. The auto elec believes it is the airbag sensor module (located under the centre console) which i'm inclined to agree, it just sucks that the one to suit a VX SS (with no side airbags) costs over $400 new from Holden.
A mate with a VT Acclaim had the same fault light coming up which was fixed by replacing the clockspring. Might try that first rather than shelling out for a new air bag sensor module.

when your airbags go off you need to replace both airbags, clockspring[behind steering wheel],module[under centre console],seat belt pretensioners, then get holden to reset them and you should be right.if you need any of the parts i mentioned try holden wreckers cause they strip the airbags if they dont go off they only go off when hit in the front.
