Hi Everyone

I have a real pain in th ebutt question to ask and I know some may see this as maybe not a problem or concern but I just wanted some advice before spending dollars that I dont have.

For the last 3 or 4 months I have been having problems with the Caprice with the traction Control light coming on all the time reporting that the trac is off. Usually at the same time the engine light comes on as well and then goes off. I have tried pressing the trac button but nothing happens. I have had it in a Holden but they cant find any codes on tech 2.

Has anyone else had the same problem and if so what was the outcome

thanks

P

yes did all that and took it back a second time and they found nothing, not sure if it could be the switch itself thats faulty or a sensor but no doubt take it to Holden they will charge an arm and a leg and tell me they cant find the problem

I seem to recall someone else having a similar issue. The problem turn to to be a loose cable to the ABS module, or moisture in the plug on the ABS module. Either way, removing the unit and giving the plug ends a good blow out with air then reinstalling solved that persons issue and it never recurred. I think they had a Barge too now that I think about it.

Man, I had this problem on my way home tonight. WH Statesman, LS1. Seems like the box shifts funny as well. My old VR engine mangament light used to come on and the box wouldn't select first. Would only take of in second. Sounded like it had a big stall converter. Lol

Anyway, did anyone have luck with this???
