Ive got a few lingering questions that are bugging me and some that id just like to know for future needs.

1. Can anybody tell me with the new VE Auto6... when i drop back manually from 3rd to second and pick up revs and change into 3rd ... it revs its nuts off and drops speed dramatically, this is random - some times it will grab the gear quick and try cherp others it just does nothing and freaks out at me... Am I doing something wrong, is htere a moethod to getting max performance using the manual shifting in auto? (Ive never had experiences with these boxes before)

2. I have the sport suspension (as standard in the SSV), what company would be best trusted in lowering the car?

3. Has anyone had power steering issues or is it just me? I somehow managed to destroy the power steering pump, pully and bracket at 1300k's...

4. I get beat by F6's at rolling starts, this is because of boots... what would be best for the new LS2's ... Supercharged or turbo?

I can help with point 4.

You are right an F6 with boots will nail a standard Calais V 6.0. You can fix this easily though, get a tune for the Calais and add some boots...you will destroy F6 or anything that comes close.

1. A lot of the A6s flare occasionally into 2nd or 3rd, particularly when cold (flare = over rev).

2. See Australian LS1 and Holden Forums (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=93804) and Australian LS1 and Holden Forums (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=68171) for some ideas on lowering.

3. Haven't heard of any others.

4. S/C or turbo! :shock: That's like asking what team you should barrack for or what political party to vote for!! If you are really seriously considering FI then read everything on it you can as it pertains to VEs and when you have an idea what you are talking about go and talk to sponsors who do it....... Good luck with your mission should you accept it Mr Phelps! :lol:
